I started working I the area and I was told about this location. I got there about 5 minutes before opening, as I was told that it can get crowded around lunch time. I went to the door but it was locked. I waited a few minutes more and then called to confirm the opening time. I was told 10:30am at 10:50 am, yet the door was still locked. They finally opened the doors and only had mashed potatoes ready. I was ignored by two employees,( I was he first and only customer) and the person who did help me was rude, even though they didn't have food ready. I had heard such great things about this place. My disappointment was at an all time high. I refuse to beg for any business to take my money or to pretend they are doing me a favor by taking my money. I hate I ever went there.

Awful..everything..chicken dressing just ok, spaghetti water down, cabbage hard....we stood in line 45 miuntes and spent $29... And all I can think about that day was - all the places I could've visited and got good food..customer services great..but the food, I don't know what all the hype is

The food smells great and taste divine! The Daily Special is a grand bargain at $5.99, less than a happy meal at Mickey D's.

Off the beaten path but worth the trip to Lauderdale and Mallory for a wholesome meal the whole family can enjoy.

Stein's food is great but quantity of food you get for the prices are ridiculous. you are spending just as much per plate as you would at picadilly or chili's, O'charlies etc. but you only get a child size portion. you have to literally spend 20-30$ to get full per person. I love Ms.stein but that is ridiculous !

my first few visits were ok. I havent been in about a year or two before I visited recently. The food was ok, I ordered chicken and dressing in which the dressing was one small ice cream scoop (seriously) mac & cheese and spaghetti and a large sweet tea. My total amounted to $16.??. Because I got my plate and tea in a to-go container and ate in she said I couldn't get a refill with the to go cup. R U serious! After spending $16!. I dont think I'm going back. I have had better quality and greater quantity for way less.

The food at Stein's Restaurant was excellent. I haven't had home cooked food that looked so delicious and tasted so good in a very long time. I would definitely recommend seeking out this restaurant for a wonderful change of pace from fast food. Don't wait until you're in the neighborhood, because you probably won't ever be. Just go and treat yourself, your friends or your family to a wholesome, hot, wonderfully nutritious meal.
