The grouper fingers and the blackened grouper were delicious! Very tender,moist and fresh. U wont be disappointed

What a joke!!!!! My husband and friend of his docked our boat to go have a drink last Saturday night, and the bartender outside was practically humping their legs to try to get a good tip. Why doesn't the owner just put a stripper pole out there and your caption can read, "Hard up insecure young girls who have Daddy issues" I'm sure you'll get plenty of business then. We'll never go back.

I don't understand on the negativity on this page, but what I do know is that my family and myself eat out frequently, never at chain resistant either, and this place has really good food. My boyfriend had the mahi-mahi with crab leg and I had a Cuban sandwich and red beans/rice.The only thing I wouldn't order again was the fries, not too impressive. But it was clean, friendly staff and hot food. Try it!

I've got a great idea to improve this "restaurant." Burn it to the ground, hire a new staff, create a new menu, and start from scratch. I have never in my life received such horrible service AND food at ANY reamstaurant, ANYWHERE. My waitress was middle aged blonde woman and a complete moron. If I ever see her again in any other place Im running! I have never written a review online for any restaurant, but I was treated so poorly here I want people to know.

My husband & I happened to stumble upon AJ's Salt Docks one afternoon during the week round 2:30pm while out taking a ride...so we decided to stop in for a drink. We didn't eat there because we had already eaten just before we found the place. The inside of the Bar/Rest. we thought was very cool...a very tropical feel to it! We went out to enjoy the warm sunny day on the patio & thought that the view of the river was Awesome. The waitress & Bartender both were nice. I have to say the bathroom is a lot left to be desired...very tiny...but other then that we would difinitely come back to try the food. I just hope from reading past reviews that the place has now got a better reputation & the manager (Andy) & his girlfriend (Roz) are more professional....if so we would for sure come back with friends & family!! In this economy business owners need to bend over backwards for their customers...thats what keeps us coming back, & we would drive all the way from St. Clair Shores for good food, Staff, Atomsphere, & view @ least once a week! So with that being said I have to rate the staff & atmosphere 4 stars for now!! We are looking forward to trying the Sunday Buffet sometime soon!

There should be a law against using catfish and
calling it Grouper.The owner knows what he's doing what a crook!

I agree with the other reviewers. The owner is a total JERK. He managed to call me a really rude name and when I called him out on it, he offered to buy me a drink. When I told him "no thanks" I was drinking pop and already paid for it (what a big spender). He got offended and called me the B word. Great work ethic! However the wait staff is great.

First time there. Food was good and prices not bad. Only problem was the ladies bathroom, extremely cramped, you can't even close the door. Would like to take my family there but can't imagine having my young grand children having to use this facility. No one was drunk there on the day that I was there.

Great food at very reasonable prices. Best view on the water. Great staff, and the manager was excellent with sharing the food menu with my party of ten. I'll go again. Just wish my favorite band (The Gold Rush Band) played there some time this summer. The Gold Rush Band makes folks want to get up and dance and party. Looking forward to this summer.

good food, one of the worst atmosphere's for a restaurant i have every been in. the owner is drunk and rude, obnoxious, his girlfrield is just as bad. too bad the food is so good, whoever is cooking there needs to get a job where he would be appreciated. i have never seen a business run so poor. the owner needs to get out and take his bimbo before it is run into the ground

The best thing for this place is to get a new owner, and manager. There ignorant , rude and drunk all the time and have chased numerous customers out over the years. If they don't like you, they will let you know and they will do it in front of any customer in the place. They don't care, its obvious, don't waste your time going there

This place is a dive, If the owner doesn't like you(Andy) or the Manager (Rozanne)they will try to beat you into submission. Not happening here...Andy kicked and beat me for NO reason and Roz threw my $380 cell phone and
my $45 Harley Davidson hat that my girlfriend gave me in the fireplace while I was being beaten for the second tine by the owner (ANDY) or the manager Roz) for short when I called 911 for the third time!

To much cussing, fighting, and people who were obviously too drunk already were still being served and then allowed to drive home on their own without anyone trying to find them a ride home, obviously no concern for the safety of their customers or anybody else on the road.

I wouldn't recommend this place to anyone, unless they were looking for trouble and a drunk driving arrest.

AND THIS ALL HAPPENS EARLY IN THE EVENING AROUND 8:00 P.M.

The food is excellent. The only problem was we went in there at 5pm on a Tuesday to have dinner, but the music was too loud and some people sitting a few tables away cussed continuously. We were sitting in the back where it is more of the restaurant part. I can see this on a Friday or Saturday night, but on a Tuesday during dinner times? I definitely wouldn't recommend bringing your children here for dinner.

This is my new favorite Rest/bar for us to go to,the best veiw on the ST.Clair river,we love the food the perch and grouper was the best we have had in a long time. We did not get to enjoy the outside patio because we were sitting in front of there fireplace awesome. The live music was Great I think were to have all our partys there, Looks like you can dock a 50 ft boat in 1 of there many boat slips, Thank God theres AJs

We eat there all the time and the food and service is always top notch.

The only problems were all caused by a real loser who is on parole who they felt sorry for him and hired him. After they fired and barred him for causing probems with the customers, the problems immediately went away too.

This is a very respectable place to enjoy an evening out and I would recommend it to anyone who is looking for good qaulity food and reasonable prices.

The staff on both days and evenings are extremely friendly and courteous. Absolutely one of the best establishments in the blue water area!

Great food and great service! We have never had any trouble in AJ's Salt Docks. Sounds like a few of the drama queens & kings that are barred and the competition are crying. The food is great and the view is beautiful! We find the daytime bartender to be gracious and prompt and very friendly. The food is very very good. The outdoor area on the river is great!!
