My recent visit for dinner at Lu and Carl's was a bustling affair, yet service was swift and reliable. The atmosphere exuded a lively charm, with an array of food options to enjoy. It's a wonderful spot in Brighton for a fun evening out or a casual family meal.

Well, I am going to attempt to be as kind as possible. Today, Sunday we went to Lou & Carl’s for lunch I can’t say we were warmly greeted at the door, but no big deal. We were seated, ordered our food, and then ordered it differently because they were out of sausage. Our drinks came and surprised that she (the waitress) kept spilling them and didn’t offer a towel or extra napkins. We received our order and the food was plain, and nothing to rave about, although I would have thought that our waitress would check back with us throughout the meal (which didn’t happen). I was finally able to get her attention for a refill on my ice tea after she presented me with the bill. After a review of the bill, I found a small error which she promptly corrected. When completing the transaction, I must admit that I didn’t think my dining experience was anything remotely special. Trinity, after receiving my payment promptly approached my group and confronted me as to why I left a 10% tip. I kind of always thought a tip was voluntary not a requirement. I further thought that this is a poor practice for the waitress to perform; maybe a manager should be proactive and speak to the customers.
Well, I will admit that I will not dining here anytime soon, and the best thing I can say about my experience is that they do make a good hot dog!

Love Lu and Carl's! If been there recently. They've done a complete re-do. It's awesome!

We used to go to Lu and Carls all the time too. I have not been there in a long time too, but my friend was there this summer. She said just about the same thing Connie said! Flies everywhere and food was baD!

I have not been to this establishment for a couple of years. So when I went today I was very surprised and disappointed to see how badly it looks. First of all the restaurant use to have very creative entrees. The food is just the usual. The restaurant looks very run down and dirty. There were flies all over the place and the floor/windows were very dirty. The food was just o.k. and the wait staff looked very unkept -sort of sleazy. I will not be returning to this place of business.
