01/24/2010 - Dwayne and Anita
While serving in Iraq in 2009, I was anticipating my return home to the love of my life, Anita, and wanted to find a quaint romantic place to take her. We have never been on a horse drawn sleigh ride and as I searched the web, the White Horse Inn caught my attention. As I reviewed the menu it intrigued me as did the history and ambiance of the old Inn and so the decision was made to take my love out for a romantic dinner and sleigh ride on January 16, 2010. We were greeted by the owner and host, Lisa, and immediately we knew that this dining experience was going to be more than we could ever have hoped for. After seating us by the fire place we asked Lisa if we could explore this historic and lovely building which she was so accommodating. Lisa’s husband, Tim’s, preparation of salmon, scallops, shrimp and steak, were done to perfection and we couldn’t have asked for a better staff. As if we could not imagine a better evening, Lisa and Tim surprised us by somehow working us in to the sleigh ride completing the most wonderful and romantic evening we could have dreamed of. Lisa and Tim have accomplished what few fine dining establishments have done; they are warm, inviting and genuine hosts and Tim’s culinary skills are phenomenal. Thanks to them, Anita and I now have another memorable experience that we will cherish forever.
