The cozy and laid-back atmosphere at Desai's was a refreshing change for my wife and me. The menu offered a vast selection of delicious dishes that were served piping hot and quickly. The staff was friendly and attentive, and the large cast iron fireplace added a cozy touch to our dining experience.

I have been going to Desi for over 50 years and never had a bad meal there and for being about 8 miles from Oscoda they are always busy that should say something about their food and service even in the winter. They are also close to the ATV and snowmobile trails and makes a good stop off for a meal and drink. We live in Tawas so it's a 15-20 miles ride one way but i

We have been going to Desi’s for 2 generations and have never had a bad meal. Love the memories and down home feel. Homemade spaghetti sauce is the best. Keep up the good work!

My friends and I gather in the Oscoda area twice a month and always end up at Desi’s for dinner. The food is good, with generous portions, and served promptly. I have been a resident of the area for 20 years and have vacationed in the area all my life. I don’t understand the bad revues since this place is busy year round. To each his own, I guess

Many Many years ago I was introduced to Desi's when my husband and I were on Vacation in Oscoda MI, as he and his family eat there on his family vacations growing up.My husband wanted to now keep the tradition of location and great food going. This weekend 9-10-2016 while on vacation he and I decided to eat at desies as it had been at least 4+ years since we last eat there,and we could not wait to eat the great food we remembered.
Well let me tell you WE WILL N-E-V-E-R E-V-E-R- eat there again. The food look like it was just slopped on to our plates, we could not identify what was what, the cheese had no flavor I think it was some no brand liquid golden something that tasted terrible, after scraping the liquid cheese off the food thinking it might taste better, our meal was very very bland, not taste the lettuce was not crisp, the green salsa use to be the best, and look forward to again a disappointment we filled a dish of vinegar tasting liquid from the green salsa they served us, it too was terrible, do not go there for dinner, it is nothing close to how it use to be, i got home and told my husbands siblings do not go there it not like you remember any more.

If you're ever driving down River Road on a beautiful Oscoda day and you see a restaurant called Desi's keep driving stop at the Dam store ( this is the real name of the store ) and buy a sandwich, and you will enjoy a better meal. The food at Desi's is so sub standard it is sinful it shows what food is like when you just don't care anymore
I feel sorry for the servers that make there living there.
