We always looked forward to eating at Chef John's when in Ludington. He has now sold out to someone else and is nothing like it used to be. We tried it out once and that will be the only time. None of the same breakfast items and was more expensive. We bought a loaf of the rye bread ($8.00) and it was terrible----too heavy of a bread. The whole experience was so disappointing. We were so sorry to see John go, but wish him a happy retirement. We had been coming here for breakfast and lunch for many years and would take his white rye bread back home with us. We will miss him and his friendly staff.

Always great food!! Unique atmosphere and friendly staff. Love the Dill Havarti soup! Save room for dessert! Great cinnamon rolls, cookies, pies and bread.

Ordered a dozen of Chef's John's pecan cinnamon knots on Thursday for a pick-up on Wednesday for our Thanksgiving Brunch. They gave me such subpar knots, not like their daily knots in bakery case. They were so over baked that they tasted burnt and so dry that I would not serve them due to embarrassment.
