Awesome service and food

We stopped in for a late lunch and were treated with the most wonderful meals by an amazing staff. From the friendly host, Sean, to the knowledgeable and personable server, Laurie, and kitchen staffer Tim, this was a delightful experience. The atmosphere was fresh and comfortable, with both indoor and patio setting, plus a cozy bar area in another room. The owners and chef, Maggie and Taylor, have outdone themselves. The food was AMAZING. My husband had what he described as perhaps the best burger ever, along with thinly sliced truffle fries that melted in your mouth. As this was a special occasion, the chef prepared for me a vegetarian plate of cheesy and gently fried polenta with shiitakes, scallions, and arugula surrounded by a sweet pea puree. Oh my! This was without a doubt the best vegetarian entrí©e I have ever been served in Northern Michigan. Please, please, please put this on the menu for your vegetarian guests! We could not have been any happier and will be returning soon to the quaint village of Bellaire, so we can again enjoy all that this gem has to offer.

The waitress was great, the food was wonderful, but the manager was very rude. Surprised she is like that in a small town. Being a manager myself I would never handle customers the way I observed. Very sad and disappointed local customer especially when I hear this is common. Hopefully this changes so the restaurant can stay.
