The Wagon Wheel is the BEST restaurant in the county! First of all, they use a lot of homegrown, home canned fruits and veggies which makes all the difference to me. Their menu of amazing and unique offerings each week has new creations for their Fiesta Fridays, and they offer a kid's night once a week. Their wait staff are local sweethearts, any of the ladies that serve you will be a delight. Maybe you wanna sit at the bar? Bartender on Friday night is the best around, with years of experience and enjoys making new drinks- especially when inspired by patrons and their special times. Plus, he's really easy on the eyes. 😉
Some of my favorite meals from the Wheel are; The Big Wheel (burger), chicken parmesan sandwich, loaded pulled pork fries, the whole salad bar, any specialty pizza, Fiesta Friday tacos are always amazing (especially when they have the coleslaw!) But everything I've ever eaten there I've loved. So go check it out and enjoy!

Extremely poor service. Staff was not knowledgeable about menu. Rude at clearing items away while still eating. There was only 1 other table of patrons. Charged for items that should have been included. Everything was an extra cost. Good thing, we will never be back. Food was mediocre at best. The Mountain is WAY better.

I tried the Prime Rib and it was absolutely delicious, accompanied by exceptional service from the friendly staff. The fried asparagus was also a hit, even picky eaters would enjoy it.

Definitely the best food and bar atmosphere around drinks are spot on The wait staff is amazing. The whole atmosphere from the time you walk in the door is like you are family.

Man the prim rib was so good made another trip tried the chopped steak wow another great meal will make this place a regular stop on or trips here

Took friends out for drinks and eats. We all ordered our drinks and meal. One hour and then minutes later we got our food. As said before where's the beef? The bun was huge but the burger was three inches from the outside of the bun and over cooked. Our friend ordered a small pizza and it was not just dark it was actually black on the bottom. Called the waitress over and she tried to tell us it should be like that from the wood fire. Honey I lived in Seattle where actual chefs prepare pizza on a wood fire. It should not be black not even dark brown. They gave us five dollars off our bill for a pizza you couldn't even eat. They said to get another would take an hour. Never again as this was the second time we were not happy. Horrible staff and food.

First time since the reopening and loved it! Went with another couple. Three of us had the small pizza and they were fabulous. The other person had the hamburger and said it was great and loved the warm chips too. Appetizer fried pickles and onion rings had a great light batter coating just right and enough for all 4 to share and not fill up b4 food came. Also had Tres Leches cake and it was yummy! Will go back to try more of the great pizza. Good job!

We met up with friends to have a couple of drinks and a quick bite to eat. We ordered simple bar food...burgers and chicken wings. We waited over 45 minutes for two burgers /1 with fries and one with chips and 12 wings and a couple bowls of dill pickle soup. We had to ask the waitress when we would be getting our food as other patrons that came in after us had their food ahead of ours. Well, the burgers were nothing special...frozen patty...where's the beef? Talk about small...tasted old.....nothing special. The chips....broken bottom of the bag....not even a snack size portion. The waitress was rude, and had the nerve to tell us that there were several pizza orders called in ahead of our orders.Hm, I am not an executive chef, come on...you don't cook the pizza's on the grill. Lousy food....definitely will not go back. Save your money and time and head north to Alpena or south to the Mountain Restaurant. I am embarrassed for the owner.
