I used to love mama mias --I went there for familiy celebrations and special events. Food was good and service excellent. not any more. I had the worst meal I had in years there on ll/6. Dishes were unclean(lipstick on glasses) food was HORRIBLE(one of my party threw up/ we got so puch oil on the pesto fettucini that I could have used it for my car... and worst of all when we complained we were ignored--DO NOT GO

I had lunch at Mama Mia's on Silver Spring yesterday -- hadn't been there for a few years -- I must say that it was a HORRIBLE experience. There was a party of 22 there, and the food pans were literally empty for the first 20 minutes we were there. Then, when the pans were replenished, they were replenished little bits at a time -- made the customer feel as though they were eating left-overs. We literally had to scrape the bottoms of the pans in order to get the remaining scraps. Everyone was complaining, and the waitresses did the best they could to retain the customers.

If this is how business is run on a daily basis, it makes me wonder just how this restaurant is able to stay open. The other Mama Mia's restaurants are SO much better.

The bill was over $22 for two luncheon buffets -- NOT WORTH IT!!! I would NEVER recommend this restaurant to anyone, nor do I ever plan to return.

I attempted to send this correspondence to the Silver Spring location’s website, but, consistent with the service we received at the restaurant, the website was unable to receive my comments!
