Stopped by for lunch and was impressed by the excellent service and very good food. The staff was friendly and the meals were tasty, making it a spot I'll definitely return to. The menu is diverse and the portions are just right, offering a great dining experience in Grand Rapids.

Week ago, order to go was not as ordered. Tonight, on hold for 30 minutes as owner forgot he had a customer on hold... And then left his end of the phone call open for another hour... Poor customer service and decline in food quality.

We eat at this El Potro quite often and have always been very pleased. We brought friends from the Twin Cities two weeks ago and they "raved" about the food. Great wait staff and the food is always served quick and hot.

I tried eating here once and they have something in the food that i got an alergic reaction to. I was rushed to the hospital but the food was still pretty tasty, just be careful of allergens.

We !ove this restaurant! The staff is friendly, the service is great. The food is always delicious. We especially like the fajitas and burrito cancun. The decor is warm and bright, especially welcome on these cold winter days. I am sure you will enjoy your visit to El Portro!

Today we had lunch at El Potro. We ordered the combination plate that included a tamale, an enchilada, and a burrito. The tamale was the onlly item that tasted authentic. The burrito was nothing more than sloppy joes in a tortilla - the worst burrito we ever had. Not so sure about returning.
