Exceptional food!

This restaurant has been featured in Delta Magazine. The atmosphere is down home and the food is fantastic. It's healthy home cooked southern foods, cooked with flavor and alotta love by the owner. Great variety, always hot and plenty of it. The desserts are the best, and yes, she bakes them as well. I've tried every eating spot in Lexington and have a few I repeat and many I won't return to. I will seldom eat anywhere else in Lexington when I am there. Lunches are great but you have to try her all you can eat on Friday and Saturday evenings 5:30-9:00pm. If you ever leave the Southern Barrel hungry, it's your own fault.
