The food at this local spot was delicious and served hot, with friendly and attentive service. The portions were generous, and the staff made sure our dining experience was enjoyable.

I moved to Stone County from Louisiana. I have ate lots of great seafood in Louisiana and I have to say this place has some of the best catfish and shrimp I have ever had. The Frid green tomatoes are awesome! I have had several different items on the menu and everything has always been good and fresh. The is a true hidden jewel.

Four of us from out of town, met at the Whistle Stop last weekend to visit and eat. They were so busy, we had to wait a little while, but not too long. The waitress was very friendly and helpful. One in our party had the seafood platter and loved it all. He especially loved the fried green tomatoes he ordered for an appetizer. The remaining 3 of us had catfish and it was good. I would eat here again and would probably try a burger or the pork chops.

I've eaten here several times and it's always good. The country-fried steak is ALWAYS tender and the catfish is seasoned just right. The coolest thing is that the train conductor that comes by actually stops the train and eats here. Great food.

We are eaten there a couple of times and the food has always been good. The shrimp I had the last time I was there were great. For a small town they do a good job!!
