The food at this restaurant is outstanding, with a wide variety of options to choose from, and the staff are incredibly friendly and attentive. Laura, in particular, stands out with her warm and welcoming demeanor. The cleanliness of the facilities adds to the overall positive dining experience.

Although we have always enjoyed dining at Market Street Cafe, after this evening, we won' t be returning. While the main dining room was half empty, we were seated in the side dining room with a large party of more than 10 at a wobbly table with wobbly chairs. The acoustics were so bad and the group quite loud that we could not have a conversation with talking in a loud voice. The pimento cheese appetizers tasted as though they were day old, not crunchy on the outside, and not gooey on the inside. The salad bar was scaled down from what used to be offering no better than a supermarket bagged salad. While the chicken breast in the Chicken Oscar was quite moist the pan drippings mixed with the sauce and made it sloppy and the sauce runny. The waitress offered bread half way through the meal noting "bread was available only if we wanted it!". The vegetable of the day, grilled asparagus, were thin and overly grilled. We ended the experience there, not tempting fate with dessert!
