The Anvil in St. Genevieve offers delicious fried catfish and grilled chicken sandwiches that are among my favorites. The steak is cooked perfectly and the atmosphere is welcoming, making it a great spot for a satisfying meal in the historic town.

We had the ribeye it was Hugh and soooo tender and the flavor was great.
Service was great and loved the atmosphere. The clown paintings were weird for the setting.
Definitely would recommend this place.

Great food. Good value.
If you're from out of town be sure to try a side of Ste. Gen's famous Liver Dumplings. Don't be fooled by the name, they are great and we locals are fed them as part of our baby food diet growing up. Also try their onion rings. Best you'll find!
Lastly, if you are a drinker, they have a simple but great tasting Bloody Mary as well.
