We miss being able to sit down and dine at Bongo's. It was our favorite place to go in Polk county after retiring here from Springfield, MO. We went their for all of our special ocassions. We enjoyed it as much as Hemmingways, Ocean Zen, and Red Lobster in Springfield, MO. Please hurry and put a menu on here so we can put in some orders.

I was just cutting threw the Ozarks to get to Arkansas and wanted to check out the lake. Stopped in at Bongo's and was blown away! Kansas City has nothing like this. The bread alone before the meal could be a meal. The service was outstanding! Best spaghetti ever, and the sauce was like nothing I ever had! My friend had the philly steak. That looked like something I would order for a last meal. Worth the detour away from Springfield.

My favorite place to eat. Servers are the best and I've enjoyed everything I've ever ordered. I hate to spread the word too much or we'll have to wait to be seated (but it's worth the wait! )

I love this place!!!! It's small but it is a really fun place to go. They have the best shrimp scampi in the world. The atmosphere is quaint and its a perfect place to go for a date. The margaritas are to die for :) I stumbled upon this place by accident but make time to go back every chance I can.

This is one place I would eat everyday if I could.
They have fantastic food. I once got the " Srimp Sanpe"and it came out in less then 30 min. I say you should eat there.
