We had a party of 20 and visited the restaurant tonight. Despite the large group, the service was excellent and the food was delicious. The catfish bites make for a great appetizer and the catfish poor boy is a personal favorite.

Best lunch/dinner at the lake.
Shrimp PoBoy Sandwich full of Shrimp & veggies. Awesome tasting with the sauce.
Catfish Bites out if this world.
Chicken Fried Steak Special, not 1 but 2 steaks.

Lived in the house that was the old post office, loved walking over and having dinner, my dogs loved the scraps they would feed them. some times my dogs eat better then we did, and refused their dog food. you might remember the German Sheppard, and the Hound dog... loved living in old Bagnell, miss it dearlly.
if you could send me the address to the old post office, on Ferry, where I lived. really need the address for person paper work, It was a route number and box 2 but I am sure it has a house address by now.

Used to go here a lot prior to fire. I had prime rib with macaroni and cheese and fried potatoes. Prime rib was undercooked and seasoned very little. Very bland. Macroni and cheese was box mac and cheese that I could not eat. Potates although good flavor was cold which ruined it.
My wife had the jack black filet with the footballs and salad. She was also upset with food temp. But flavor was good. We were the only couple eating there as was early afternoon on Saturday. Enjoyed the local dog (sanchez) but staff was too busy smoking and gathering in kitchen. Waitress was decent but not very friendly or out going. We have dined here for years but will not again unless we here better reviews from our local friends. Big letdown fir us as we used to love this place
