01/27/2011 - Owner STEALS tips!
I've worked at restaurants and I know how little waiters are paid (usually less than $2.50 and hour). We had a party and the service was great our waitress was really nice and did a good job with out needy group. The customary 18% tip was already on the ticket but it was only 25 dollars and having been a waiter I almost always leave 20%. When I went to pay the ticket I noticed that after I signed the receipt and added an extra 5 dollars he only put $25 on her name. I didn't say anything but before we left I asked our waitress about it and she hesitantly told me that they only get 15% of the 18%. I'm pretty sure it's illegal to steal tips, and even if it's not it's WRONG!
If you're having a party at this place REFUSE THE GRAT and leave the tip yourself!
