During my visit on a scorching July day, I discovered that the restaurant had closed early due to the intense heat affecting their kitchen operations - impressive endurance on their part! One of the key draws of this eatery is its prime location along Rock Creek, providing a picturesque setting for a meal. While I found the chili cheese bacon burger to be a bit lacking in green chili and on the smaller side for the price, the accompanying fresh-cut fries were a standout offering that elevated the dining experience to a four-star level.

Best cheeseburger I've ever had! Cool little spot. Prices are the cheapest in town and service was great!

Even though our food was wrong at first, we were definitely taken care of! The service was refreshingly nice and polite, and the food is outstanding! Thank you so much! We had a wonderful lunch!

This was a standby favorite even growing up..

But not now! The menu choices have been cut way back. Prices sky rocketed. They don't & wont even still make the local favorites! There is even a rude sign posted that says if you don't see it don't even ask if we have it. You would expect that the quality would increase with the price but its far from it. Quality down & portion sizes way down. They were rude to a customer in front of me for just asking a simple question. They were very short with me as well. Food was greasy. We ordered dessert which was high priced & very few choices. No more glacier dessert & sometimes that was the main reason for going. The seating area use to be kept very nice. Not now though...paint is pealing off the tables. You get over heated because they don't have umbrellas at tables anymore & weeds growing all over. So basically we had high priced fast food. Fast food Dinner and dessert for over $80 is ridiculous for a small family! We didnt even all order enough to fill use up because you couldn't afford too at those prices. Hope they can turn this once liked establishment around. Wanted to carry on the family tradition for generations to come but not likely with how the current operation of it is. Hope you guys will reconsider some things. The traditional red boxcar is greatly missed!
