Short version: owner is money hungry, rude and unprofessional. I was forced to tip DOUBLE the usual amount for a LARGE party. Just a horrible overall experience with the owner of this establishment.
We chose this restaurant for my daughter's baptism in large part due to the live music (he was awesome by the way!)
It took over 3 weeks for the owner to send me the menu. When I booked the restaurant, I asked if I could take pictures of the room so I can determine where I would place my dessert table/party favours. The owner agreed. Couple nights before the party he plays dumb and says he was never told we needed a space, it wasn't possible and we'd have to put the cake on the bar. Members of my party also had to set up the table and chair layouts the day of because the employees had not done so.
BEWARE when ordering decaf. The owner's son was heard swearing to "just give them f*** caffeinated!!"
At the end of the night, we personally tipped each waiter/bus boy to ensure the money went directly to them for their hard work. When it was time to pay the owner for the party he absolutely lost it when we said we already tipped the waiters. First claiming he never saw us tip them, and then backtracking and saying it was ILLEGAL and we had to give HIM the tip and HE decided who got what. So I was forced to double tip because he was raising his voice at us. He was also super egotistic and condescending to us women, constantly repeating that he's a "university professor" and therefore wasn't in the wrong. Just a horrible overall experience with the owner of this establishment.
