Service was so poor my family and I never even got to order.

Under new ownership (within the past year), the new menu is great, with out of the ordinary yet very tasty and plentiful dishes. This place is well worth a stop, especially if you haven't tried it yet. The other places on the Milford Oval are a bit overrated and overpriced, but the River House Cafe is underrated and priced well.

All I can say is those folks that think the Riverhouse Cafe is like NYC are a bit out of touch. I live in NYC and Breakfast with coffee is about twelve bucks. Sit down for just coffee and it's $5 minimum. All I can say is get out of Milford once in a while and see the world. As far as the cafe. I recently stopped in while home for the holiday and the visit was awesome. Great food, great organic fair trade coffee and the chicken fried steak was unreal. Thanks for a great meal and dont mind those grumpy naysayers. be back again

Finally a place to go in Milford to eat breakfast that's clean and friendly. We stopped in over the weekend, four of us. what a great menu. We had Pig Pile and a Johnny Apple cake and the boys both had there award winning homemade CB hash. (we gave it the award). Its nice to see a business that likes to buy and sell local products. We cant wait to go back.

What is Milford exactly? This place is great, and I'm so glad the new owners cared enough to turn that place into what it is now. The food IS unreal. No other place around can compare to the quality. So much is made from scratch, even the jelly! It's great to see a restaurant giving back to the community and supporting local businesses. There are so many resources in this area, it's crazy to see so few restaurants using local products! Try the pig pile for breakfast, then come back for lunch and try the stuffed local burger or their hot dogs. Great value here, not overpriced for the quality you get! Oh, and a great family restaurant too!

Tried the corned beef hash because it's homemade, but the portion was pretty small. Also, the price of a regular coffee was $2.25, a bit steep for coffee -- I don't care how good the brand is.
The food's good, not great, and the prices are a little high. This is Milford, NH, not NYC.

This place was unreal. Used to be good...now, they are trying to make it something that Milford isn't! The owner's kid was running around the entire time, the staff is unfriendly and grumpy. Not many people in a place that should be packed on a weekend. Take that as a sign!

Best Breakfast I've ever had in New Hampshire. Affordable, friendly waitstaff, will go back for lunch soon. Lots of competition, none compare.
