I've eaten here many times. It is what it claims to be. I don't remember ever having a bad meal . On one occasion the service was terrible. That can happen anywhere. Compare the food and service to any national chain, and George's will come out on top every time . Just good food is an appropriate description, but real value and consistency are other adjectives that apply.

My husband and I have traveled across all of the US and Canada and our favorite little restaurant/diner is still George's in beautiful Meredith New Hampshire

We order a seafood platter and scallop and clam plate Friday nite to go and sorry to say it was terrible the food was mushy there was no cole slaw and no tartar sauce ,also the breading was off the scallops and some clam it was the worst . And this this the First time the food was not good . We drove down from Sandwich N. H .

george;s diner is just that, fresh and good and simple. cheerful wait staff and amazing breakfast!!!

I was totally disappointed. I had my three grandchildren. 13, 9 and 7. 2 children should have been from the children's menu. When we got the orders the 9 yr old did not have the child's portion. I asked the waitress why and she said" I thought she was older. ". We had to keep asking for water. The fish and chicken was marginal. Desert was terrible. Tapioca pudding. 1/2 cup portion, apple crisp microwaved and waitress said "it might not be hot enough, really and slice of white cake with chic frosting dry. Sent it back. Worst diner experience. Take advantage of tourist. Don't waste your money or time. Too expensive too.
