My introduction to Guyanese cuisine came from my wife, who hails from Guyana, and I've developed a fondness for their Chinese-style fried rice. After a lengthy search for something similar in our area, we finally discovered a fantastic restaurant in Newark that offers delicious food at a great price, making trips to Queens unnecessary. The atmosphere is lively with Caribbean music, and while parking can be a challenge, the quality of the dishes, like the chicken fried rice and pepper shrimp, makes it all worthwhile.
