my name is Justin scott leuzarder and I just applied for a job yesterday, Kathy told me to come at 4:30 I was there early and after she interviewed someone else she did me, she never asked for my info but yet told me she would call me tomorrow afternoon just to get rid of me... I left thinking that she might have had my number from when I called, but today when I didn't get a call I called back and I wasn't even allowed to talk to Kathy and was hung up on... great business model Kathy

Was there for the first tine on Sautrday night 8/24/13 and to be honest with you I would never go back. You don't mind paying the price of food if it is good. The service was absolutely horrible and it showed in her tip. I am wondering if they changed chefs because the food was not as good as it use to be. I was there several times prior and was good. Get a new chef and staff.

Over two hours and 15 min to be served dinner. When the meal arrived it was not as stated. The Waitress was bad, three times she forgot to bring a drink or appetizer and then would say sorry 15 min or more later then bring the item. Would not go again.

My first visit to the Boat House was last Sunday. Everything we had was amazing! We started with the French Onion soup, the flavor was great, it could have had a little more cheese, but that's just me. Next was the best crab cake that I've ever had, it came with a wonderful sauce. I then had the broiled sea food combination and everything was very good, the scallops were cooked perfectly. Someone else in my group had the Sea Bass, I stole a taste, it was light & flaky. It came with a fresh pico type topping and was also delicious. For desert I had the Lava cake with ice cream. Service was good and prices were average. The setting is wonderful and has a great historic feeling. I will be returning whenever I visit NJ.

After an exhausting day looking at real estate in the county,I stopped in for a drink by myself.The young lady who greeted me could see I was in need of refreshment!I was treated like a good friend and was very well taken care of.I never eat alone but felt so comfortable that I ordered a steak and it was delicious. This experience sealed a deal and I now reside in Hampton Township.Hospitality goes a long way!!

Food was absolutely great. Service was non existent for us but many wait servers. Still because we're easy going had a really great evening, lovely to eat on the lake, really nice people to deal with. Would definitely go again!

My wife and I ate here over the weekend. The food was wonderful and the atmosphere was great. I highly recommend the Brie and steak sandwich.

We would recommend this restaurant to everyone. The quality of the food and the atmosphere as well as the service was fantastic. We have eaten there on several occassions and have enjoyed it everytime.

Admittedly spoiled by NYC restaurants, we continue to hunt for some eating options near our country home. The Boat House has been the best by far, and has the potential to be a standout by focusing on more fresh ingredients, avoiding pre-made bottled products (shouldn't all blue cheese be fresh in dairy heaven?), using sauces a bit more sparingly and serving at peak doneness. Otherwise, ambiance and staff are lovely, menu is interesting and food is very tasty - we definately will be back!

We have eaten here before, more for the atmosphere than the food--it's great eating outside on the lake surrounded by a lovely flower garden. We were pleasantly surprised on our last visit--perhaps they got a new chef--the food was terrific and the menu was much more creative than we remembered from previous visits. Keep up the good work!

Excellent time. The food is exquisit and price fairly. Cathy is a consummate professional and her staff is doting without being "hovering". We all enjoyed a great time!

Cathy, the manager at the Boathouse is the most rude and inconsiderate person I have ever met. This restaurant, besides being way pricey and disappointing, is a joke. It is very unprofessional, and the food is horrible. We were going to have our wedding here, but after getting the run-around time and time again, and having the rates raised after already having agreed on the date and time, we decided that it was a very bad Idea. Whether you are looking to have a reception of some kind here, or just go for dinner.... I would seriously rethink it... Just look at the other reviews here!

Soups Very Salty, Foods in general not so flavorable, Had fish which was soggy and not done, Had Steak, which was very Poor Quality and Price was Very High for Sussex County area.
This not NY City.
