The sass is unbelievable at the store. They really need to get employees that care and have good customer service. There is no one ever to check you out, and you have to hunt for people to do so

Charged me extra for using a credit card. Didn't even have a gift bag for my purchase. Will not return. They've gone downhill.

Bought their homemade lobster & crab dip. Spend $13.60 had NO taste of anything but tarragon. Called and owner said it was pureed. What that has to do with not having any lobster or crab taste is beyond me.
He was totally indifferent. Their prices may be gourmet but their attitude is that of Walmart.

Went there yesterday for the first time. Went to the meat counter and was inquiring about a few cuts of meat. The "butcher" seemed as if I was bothering him completely. He looked at me as if I was stupid, uneducated and totally wasting his time. It seemed as if he had somewhere else to be. Total DB! Secondly, I went to the salad counter/deli and I stood there and waited.... And waited... And waited, until the manager finally approached me and offered me help. That is the manager of the store. I guess when you get big enough and don't need the business like mom and pop places you can treat people the way you want. The entire place is over priced especially since you aren't getting customer service with it.

Don t buy the fish - it is rotten and smells like fish. Anyone who knows how to buy fish knows that fish should not smell.
This place used to have a fish selection, but no longer, and what they do sell is plain old rotten. And, if you complain, they won t refund their rotten fish, so if you feel compelled to try, use a credit card.
The fish was inedible and we threw it out.

This place claims to have dry-aged prime steaks, but they don't. Just false advertising. Don't buy into their hype.
I have had dry-aged prime steaks from numerous reputable establishments in NJ, but the Market Place steaks don't even come close.
The MP steaks are without any flavor whatever. Stay away, stay very away.

This place is awful. Stay away. Nasty owners, nasty overpriced food. They ripped me off when I purchased a filet mignon. If you want friendly owners, great food and nice attitudes, please drive another 5 Miles south to the Chester Meat Market. You won't regret it.

your thanksgiving dinner was pink turkey in the middle and dry on the ends...your gravy tasted like bacon and made everything else taste like bacon...your stuffing was sub par...I could have made it better..and your cocktail shrimp were not cleaned properly...could still see the guts...gross...and you are overpriced....would never get anything catered there again....get some new chefs...

If you go to their food counter in the back, their food is out in the open and uncovered. Flies land all over the food and its nasty b/c flies carry many diseases. I would not eat here again. Also, they are nasty to patrons that have children with disabilities. You get kicked out of the store.
