This local Mexican restaurant is a great stopover for a quick meal while waiting at Freehold Transportation Center. The staff here are incredibly friendly and even offered me a complimentary coffee. The authentic Mexican dishes are delicious, especially the chef's specials, making it a wonderful choice for travelers looking for a warm and welcoming dining experience.

Best Mexican restaurant food always fresh and so many choices was there tonight and had the best osso bucco meal I ever had and my wife and our friends all loved there meals.The service is first class and you can eat inside our outside.this is a true 5 star restaurant

Food was barely passable. They charged $6 extra for a small scoop of rice and beans. also an extra charge for a small scoop of guacamole. My dish came with vegetables but they charged me $17.99 for the $11.99 dish. For the two of us, a $30 meal came to $61 (that included 2 sodas @ $3 each). When we complained to the mgr, it fell on deaf ears. Don't worry. We won't be back and we are Freehold residents.

We have always really enjoyed El Meson and would highly recommend it!
My latest experience was great and wanted to share how accommodating and helpful everyone is there... Especially Juaqim, who I later found out was the owner and founder. I am a local Zumba instructor at the Freehold YMCA and had been looking for a sombrero to wear for Cinco de Mayo and out of sheer desperation thought to call restaurants to see if I could buy or rent one. When I asked if they knew where I could
D buy one or if they could sell or rent one to me, they,Juaquim, asked when I needed it for and offered loaning me one for the day! It was beautiful! Really authentic and ornate-much nicer than I'd ever get in a party store!! So nice & accommodating!!! love the food &service there and am anxious to have another delicious meal there soon! Has always been our favorite &the tastiest &best

El Meson Cafe is an amazing place. For the people who love Mexican food, this is the right place. I have been all over the place looking for a good Mexican food and could never find it. When I found El Meson I was the happiest person. Every meal you get there, you would love it; Enshiladas, Quesadillas, Burritos, Chimichangas! There to die for. The serice is excellent. I feel like this place as my own home. I love the variety of salsas they have there. Especially the Ranchera Cheese sauce. The specials on the weekends is worth the Wait. Try it!
