Good Food

I was really wanting to try this new restaurant. Friends of mine have been here and said it was really good. My husband and I and two other couples went last night. The experience overall was good but I feel there's room for improvement. It tends to be a little loud and the tables are too close together. I had the pork chop dinner which was a little under cooked but great flavor. The side dishes we all felt lacked salt and pepper. The potatoes were under cooked as well. We all felt that the cooking of the food seemed rushed. My husband had the chicken but the skin was under cooked. He also had the octopus on the slate platter which looked good but the juices all ran over. They also need to provide paper napkins not everyone likes using the cloth napkin to wipe their hands. Octavius was our waiter, he was really good but a little hard to hear at times and he was all over the Dining room. There should be more wait staff, he said he was the only one working. He tried to accommodate us but we were left at times with dishes on the table that needed to be cleared and asking the hostess for things. Overall the food was good. Staff and server friendly. We love the concept and have eaten at many other farm to table restaurants. I hope in time the owner will tend to these issues because the restaurant has potential. I want to try lunch at some point and hopefully return for dinner.
