Normally I would NOT post any bad reviews, just move on. But for 22 years Rita's was our favorite Restaurant. But, being harassed by the new owners was too much. Recently; Jan. 2020, my husband, and I plus another couple went to eat breakfast. The food was stuck to the plates like they have been sitting for hours, the male guest with us ordered a sandwich. Took forever to get the order, then they brought out the sandwich and they didn't do it right so he politely asked them to take the garnish off, then he said that's ok, he would. She said no, she'd take it back and do it. They brought his back and ate it. We, however, couldn't eat ours it was like glue, We got up after our guest finished his food, and told them, we couldn't eat the food, and she (new ower) started throwing stuff everywhere in the kitchen, then she started cursing (big words) at her own employee's and us. We all stood there. We didn't say we wouldn't pay part of it but wanted us to pay for all ours and the one with the sandwich ate all his and wanted us to pay for all ours. We just stood there and asked is that fare? He was the only one that ate. We were hungry too. We had to pay for something that wasn't eatable. She finally just ripped up the ticket and "yelled," she would pay the ticket, we all four said at the same time "GOOD" and left. But, the worst thing about all of it, was EVERYONE in the restaurant could hear her yelling and cussing. We just stood there because we didn't want her to call the cops saying we didn't pay. If all else we would have paid, but she wouldn't shut up long enough or come out of the kitchen and talk to us to say anything to her. I promise this is all true. We will NEVER go in that place, or recommend it. I'd post my name, but know too many people and I can tell them if they ask.
