I've been eyeing this popular spot for years and finally decided to give it a try today. Turns out, this restaurant is actually owned by the same folks behind Rutilios here in Los Lunas. There are quite a few similarities between the two places. The food here is just as delicious as my favorite spot in town.

Pricy but so good The food is amazing the red Chile was the best. tjs is my favorite since now one more thing the salsa with chips was delightful

* AVOID THIS PLACE*

We had a TERRIBLE experience today!!! This place had a new ownership change recently. New owner, Maria, was very rude and very impatient with us. We had a question about our bill, and she straight up refused to help us. Our bill was higher than expected, we had ordered an a-la-carte stuffed sopapilla, but we were charged more than the plate itself. When we asked Maria why this was, she said "a-la-carte is sometimes more expensive, that's the way some people like it I guess." We asked if we could see our itemized bill, but she refused, waved her hands in our faces and shooed us away saying, "I'm too busy for this right now." Unfortunately, we had already paid, and so she had no more use for us and completely ignored us. MARIA is RUDE, IMPATIENT, DISRESPECTFUL, and DISHONEST. We will NEVER GO BACK TO TJ's. I would NOT RECOMMEND this place at all, take your money elsewhere. Don't get scammed.

¡Tuvimos una experiencia TERRIBLE hoy! Este lugar tuvo un nuevo cambio de propietario recientemente. La nueva dueña, Marí­a, fue muy grosera y muy impaciente con nosotros. Tení­amos una pregunta sobre nuestra cuenta y ella directamente se negó a ayudarnos. Nuestra cuenta era mí¡s alta de lo esperado, habí­amos pedido una sopapilla rellena a la carta, pero nos cobraron mí¡s que el plato entero. Cuando le preguntamos a Marí­a por quí© era esto, dijo que "a la carta a veces es mí¡s caro, así­ es como a algunas personas les gusta, supongo." Le preguntamos si podí­amos ver nuestra cuenta detallada, pero ella se negó, agitó sus manos en nuestras caras y nos ahuyentó diciendo: "Estoy demasiado ocupada para esto en este momento". Desafortunadamente, ya habí­amos pagado, y ella no tenia mas uso con nosotros y nos ignoró. MARIA es RUDA, IMPACIENTE, IRRESPETUOSA y DESHONESTA. NUNCA VOLVEREMOS A TJ's. NO RECOMIENDO este lugar para nada, mejor ir a comer en otro sitio.

The new owner is rude and her menu prices should be what the menu states as a price , not tell customers the menu is incorrect! She needs interpersonal skills and Talk English and know the Customer is always right!

Best and frendliest New Mexican Restaurant we've ever eaten at. It's homey, good people, great atmosphere. Plus the food is great! We miss going there very much! We're from Albuquerque and found a gem of a restaurant! It's just been hard to get there lately.
My Sister Maxine introduced us to TJ's and she left us this summer for her heavenly home, we miss her so much!
Come on give these great owners some help, we can't let TJ's close! You won't regret it!

This is our Friday night dinner spot. Excellent food! Great service! We recommend enchiladas and the carne adovada.
