We always stop here when we travel through Santa Rosa. Our last visit on 6/2/23 was so very disappointing. I always have ordered the corn and black bean tamales. This time the tamales were filled with zucchini. Nary a black bean or corn kernel in sight. The texture of the tamales while generally are soft, the texture of these tamales were just plain mushy.

My husband ordered the the beef taco plate. The tacos were soggy and tasted very different than he recalled.

They recently appeared to have upgraded the seating so maybe they are trying to recoup their costs but the food was just terrible. We will not be returning.

The Vegan Tamales were amazing! Great spicing, texture, and green sauce. The beans and posole was great too! And the margaritas were very tasty as well. One of the best roadside restaurants I've ever dined at. Vegetarians and Vegans will be delighted. There is even a separate menu within the main menu for us! Loved it!

Food sucks, asked server if mushrooms were hand breaded and she said yes. Brought them out and they were ice cold in the center. She brought out another order, this time the mushrooms were mushy on the inside. Asked another server if they were hand breaded and she came back and said no. I sent them back. When cheeseburger and fries came the burger was ok. The fries were salty and I was told they don't salt the fries. Bathroom horrible, I was almost afraid to relieve myself. 1st and last time!!!!

This place is wonderful. I had heard about it for years, and now I see why! The Mexican food was amazing! Also you can get a cold beer or Margarita!

We were there on September 25, 2009. Just mediocre! The food was very disappointing and the server (a young woman) could have cared less. We had been looking forward to having dinner at this restaurant but were very disappointed and would not recommend this place to anyone.
