What a surprise! We've been visiting Taos for years and only on this trip did we discover Byzantium. Great food served up in a warm atmosphere. I enjoyed a perfectly seasoned chicken over rice dish, while my partner dug into a delicious (and inventive) shrimp and artichoke pot pie. Both cooked to perfection. During our dinner, we met Scott, who seems to run a one-man operation ... although there was a sous chef on hand. Kudos to both. They offered an all-round lovely evening. Byzantium is a welcome escape from the run-of-the-mill Mexican fare often found in and around Taos. We've found our new go-to.

My Husband and I came here on our honeymoon. Excellent service and food! You won't be disappointed. Menu is simple, but outstanding. If you want fine dining in a relaxed atmosphere, this is your place!

The best restaurant in Taos hands down for the last 10 yrs. this place and the old Joes are and were the best around. Heard Pappy went back to Australia.

Just an exceptional dining experience whether you are talking about presentation, food, flavors, wine, ambience. Just an incredible experience you won't forget. Great place for romantic meal. Just fabulous!
