Best aged prime beef in capital district. Med rare poppa bear will more than feed the biggest appetite. Shrimp cocktail, large fresh shrimp and homemade cocktail sauce, the best. Desserts all made in house,excellent! If you go out to eat good food then this is the place. Family run. Don't be in a hurry the food is too good to rush. The people waiting tables are family. A fantastic dining experience. Make a reservation and go. You will never go to a steak house and say your beef is better than at the bears. NO I DONT WORK THERE OR GET FREE FOOD.....

Been eating at the "Bears", enjoying the company of "Papa and Mama" Bear for over 3 decades. The service from "Big John" is outstanding. Wlithout a doubt the best steakhouse in the Northeast and possibly the U.S. We were steered to the Bears by a friend, Sal B, over 30 years ago.
Unfortunately, Bob is no longer with us, but his lessons were well learned by the younger Bears, and they continue his way of cooking and serving outstanding beef.
