I have frequented the Rooster for drinks with friends and have always appreciated the welcoming staff, cold beverages, and great ambiance. Recently, I visited for dinner with my family and was pleasantly surprised by the family-friendly environment, delicious pub grub, and attentive service. The menu offers a good variety of options, and the wings, Rooster Balls, and kid-friendly meals were all hits with our group.

Can't understand why a pub restaurant is lacking sports on the tv's. This place is huge and has a huge bar yet they have MTV videos on most of the tv sets. What establishment shows old mtv videos from way back on every tv and no sports this time of the season for example, the NFL network with game replays, Collage football network game replays to entertain and pump up old and new customers before the new season arrives. Restaurant cant survive on food alone and need bar revenue that provides much needed cash when food is slow. I can guarantee that any restaurant that removes a bar will not survive as they starve when business is slow wishing that they had those bar customers. They should be cheerleading and syncing up sports like collage and NFL customers as the new season is just a month away. Come up with specials on Friday, Sat and Sundays, Thursdays as Collage and NFL games come live. Hopefully when the football season starts in mid August for NFL pre season and Collage football in full swing come September that they have that vs crappy MTV videos. If they don't want sports then ditch all the TV's so patrons who want that can walk in and walk out and go to any other restaurant pub and watch games.

New in the area and my husband and I came across this place to grab some food and watch some Collage football on Saturday. Well the food was nothing to brag about but was ok and pricey however for some reason they were unable to get any football on multiple TV's. We asked the bartender if there was something wrong with the TV's and she just (embarrassingly) shrugged her shoulders and said that the management did not want sports on the TV's. We asked why and they tried to put on the game's but the TV was blocked out. frustrated ...We asked if they knew of another place that had TV's with football games on and she didn't know.... Another person told us that the Leeds Inn, Shamrock House and many others had the games and with multiple options suggested we decided to just pay our bill and left.
In ending we cant believe that any place that had TV's around would block out football games... We NEVER came across ANY restaurant bar that was blocking football on TV. I mean is this America???? Football, collage, NFL and playoffs and they have MTV 50 year old videos on??? Such a shame and we will never return.
So Don't waste you time if your into sports so go to any other (all other) bars anywhere to watch the game's and eat food. We talked after we left and scratched our heads at how any establishment in this age with TV's would even have TV's without mainstream sports. Common Red Rooster get with the program or get folks like myself and my husband to walk away to another place.
Your loss.
