I had breakfast with my boyfriend at a family diner in Newark and we really enjoyed it. The food was fresh and hot, plus our waitress was fun and made great suggestions. If you're looking for a cozy spot with good eats and reasonable prices, this diner has you covered!

Stopped the other day for dinner. Both got the stuffed peppers with a house salad/French dressing, side of spaghetti. Everything was plentiful and very good. Had plenty for a 2nd meal. Will definitely return for the peppers! I also had turkey club w/onion rings previously which was very good also. I recommend this restaurant.

Ordered their special it was Lasagna, first meal brought to the table was spaghetti (um clearly not lasagna), the lasagna was a pile of meat sauce, difficult to locate a noodle and hardly any cheese, then it was sitting in a pool of water. I let the server know I was dissatisfied with my meal. I had 2 bites before I decided it just wasn't any good. When I ordered my meal I told the server I wanted a separate check from the rest of the party I was dining with and when she brought one check to the table, I asked where my check was and was told the cashier was going to take a discount off and adjust but ended up putting my order on their check. I went to cashier and explained my order was a separate check and was told she was going to adjust for the unsatisfactory entree. She rang it up and charged me full price, I expressed my disappointment and she said she couldn't do anything about it because the owner wasn't there, but told me she took a dinner off from the other party's check. Like WTF is that! Never again and an hour later and my stomach is killing me. I have never in my 50 plus years been so disappointed or ever complained about my meal. This is one place I have gone to in the past but never again and will tell everyone I know about the bad taste they left in my mouth.

Three and a half stars. Place is uneven; sometimes very good, sometimes average.
Usually go for breakfast type items. Will never order a fried egg again. Most waitri (unisex term) very good. Their new menu has new prices, but most other places do too. Tables aren't as sticky with left over syrup as they used to be.
