I recently tried a sandwich on a sourdough roll that was incredibly tender and had a delightful hint of sweetness - absolutely scrumptious. The southern sourdough bread at this place is truly exceptional and hits all the right notes. The combination of flavors in their sandwiches, especially the chicken salad with Swiss cheese on homemade sourdough, is simply divine.

If you want to eat some heavenly food Joan's is the Place! Everything!! And most importantly, their health grade is 100.00! And Henry & Ashley & help are great people. Try them & I know you'all will agree!

Joan's has the best sourdough bread I've ever tasted. The plain is my favorite, but I've had them all and every variety is wonderful. Worth every penny and more! Don't forget to try their pastries--especially the Southern Pecan Pie cheesecake, or maybe the peanut butter cup cheesecake, for a decadent treat. Or you could sample a pound cake or one of their special layered cheesecakes. Their homemade chicken salad is my husband's favorite, especially on their sourdough sandwich roll.

I have enjoyed Joan's baked delights for many years. She had a spot at the Watauga Co. Farmers Mkt. and we would go every Saturday to get her bread, cinnamon buns and cheesecake.
This week, I tried the Pumpkin Cheesecake, WOW!!!
Everything I have tried is delicious.
She now has a bakery in Lenoir, NC, go by and say hi.

Very curtious people excellent service..only tried the chicken salad but it was amazing!!I've never been a huge fan of cheesecake but the Pecan pie cheesecake is so good it should be illegal!!
