I work at a local dealer, we are in the 3 times a week and I bring my sales team in there on Saturdays as a thank you for their hard work. Today we decided to have lunch there, me and another co-worker. When food was brought out, the waitress accidently spilled HOTT syrup on him, was on his hand, work a shirt and work pants and also shoes. Now things happen, we weren't bent out of shape but it took 10 minutes or so to wipe down everything and get all syrup off and to cool down the hand. Food was then cold from having to get everything situated, but we were crunched for time, and ate it. I then received the bill, and noticed that there was still a charge for his meal. I then said, hey I got this i'll meet you outside, I then go to the counter explained frustration on what happened and since we are in there all the time why no accomodation on the spilled syrup,. He has to go 20 minutes home just to changes his clothes then come back to work. so an hour gone. I asked if they would cover his part of the meal. Wasn't about the money, but the service and all that transpired. I then spoke with a hanah or shanah and she said she would get in trouble if took it off b/c he ate his meal and offered a cake. Told her it was not about getting anything for free. Why should the customer have to ask for an accomodation, what if hott syrup was spilled all over you and clothes. She would not get her manager either and told me we had to pay. I then paid, but lost a loyal customer who spends at least $400 a month there. If that's how do business then i'm sorry. It's sad, my team likes it there but terrible service and bad decision made on how to take care not only of a customer but a repeat 3 times a week customer.
