For those giving bad reviews about no orders- there are TWO Kotos. You called the one in Wilkesboro instead if Tville.

Ended up calling twice to add on to my original order but didn't wait long to do so literally hung up with first order called straight back to add more onto it and when we get there they have no evidence of us placing any orders. How does that even happen?

I've had nothing but good service an good food every time I have went to kotos.its a good place to eat it's always packed an not with teenagers either it's packed because it's good place to go.

Overrated ti say the least. I don't understand why people in this town love it so much. Yes its cheap but the food is cheaper. Nothing but the cheapest cuts of meat, prepared died out, tough, and bland. The service is mediocre and slow. If you have any thoughts on a custom order or substitution, forget it. It will come out incorrect and they will charge you for every thing they can think of. The last few times I went, people who come in after me always got their food first and it was the same order as me. Favoritism? The only people who I see eating kotos is highschool students with nothing better to do. There are 3 Asian restaurants in taylorsville. My choices go as follows. Number one would be Oriental Cafe. Better quality all around albeit a bit more expensive. Then Nikki's. Great food, decent service... you're average Asian Foodery. Then if for some reason those restaurants are packed or closed, the next option is to probably go out of town, and get literally anything else... Kotos is a hangout place for teenagers that don't know what good food tastes like. Its by no means an "adult" restaurant...

If you have any sort of decent palate, DO NOT EAT HERE! The food does not even resemble Japanese food. The meat (and we sampled beef, chicken and shrimp) is so tough and dry. The accompanying bottled french dressing makes no sense. Why serve salad dressing with meat, rice, or noodles. The things they call Egg rolls are a very poor examples of a spring roll. We tried both hibachi and teriyaki and everything tasted of liquid smoke and nothing else. Our meals ended up in the trash. What a waste of money!
