The food and service were both great at Shirley's. The staff was friendly and helpful with the menu options. The fried shrimp and oysters were delicious, and the overall atmosphere was inviting.

Had a delicious flounder plate with plenty of trims. Hubby had pork chops , delicious and seasoned perfectly. Very friendly atmosphere, great service.
Sat beside the sheriff and the mayor had a great first time experience.
Everyone loves this place , it's like a little southern heaven.
Yankees don't understand southern hospitality.

New to the area and decided to check out a local resturant. I had seen the ads on the tv so I thought it would be a nice place for the family to check out. Wow.. so wrong. Yes, very nice people that work there but when the food came to the table it was giving a fair chance sadly $ 40.00 down the drain. Came home and about a 45 mins later in the bathroom sick.. very sick like food poision sick. The rest of the family sick... The meal was not worth coming home to be sick. Also a high chair would have been nice. I saw on the wall that the health department rating was high like a 95 % which is great place looked clean. I would not advise or recommend eating here.
This is just my thoughts.

Best Southern home cooking in Wilmington or Leland!! The meatloaf and chicken n pastry are some of my favorites! Great staff and Owner's are truly loving, amazing people :)

Went to Shirley's Diner to get some seafood, the meal was amazing. Great large Flounder and Shrimp plate, so good and NOT a high price. I'm going back soon!

Really good food with fresh seafood. The services is exceptional and the staff is really nice. Had a good experience there and have been back several times. Price is also good. Good wholesome family restaurant. My favorite was the philly cheesesteak and fresh fish.
