Myra's is a wonderful place to eat. Whether you sit down or get take-out, the sandwich and ice cream menu is large, and the food is delicious. The atmosphere inside is like an old-fashioned diner. Myra's has been a mainstay n Valdese for over 40 years. I personally have been there many times and have found everyone to be friendly and efficient. Myra's also runs a catering business, and their food is among the best.

My wife and I stopped in this evening for ice cream. We walked inside because I wanted to look at the menu. We ordered and my wife received her parfait. About 5 minutes passed and I still hadn't received my sundae that I had ordered. I commented to my wife about the sad customer service and a woman in the booth beside us began cursing at us calling me rude. My wife told her to shut up and was assaulted by her and then the woman called the cops. After all of this the owner gave me the excuse that all her employees are 15 year old kids and I never got my ice cream. The owner didn't even offer me a refund. Terrible customer service

HORRIBLE customer service!!!! I stopped by last night to grab some ice cream it was about 30 minutes until close, I stood at the window waiting to order. There were two younger blonde haired girls, and a young man with dark hair, whom were all employees. I noticed them mopping, again 30 minutes before time to close. The young lady just stared at me. She looked back at the other two staff members who then looked up at me and continued mopping. Nobody came to the window to greet me, nobody came to take my order. I was really disappointed, they could of at least greeted me or told me that they were closing early or something? I just left after being looked at and ignored. Today I called to ask them about it and to ask about their business hours, once again I was treated with the upmost disrespect. The staff member who answered the phone told me " We close whenever we want, if it's cold, or if it's slow then we might close at 9 we might close at 930, we don't know when we close it just all depends." When they informed me of this I told them that it would be good to update that info on their website so customers know that closing hours depend on business and weather. The staff member responded by saying "yeah well maybe we should change a lot of things" then proceeded to hang up on me. After being hung up on I called back to speak with a member of management. Management just used the excuse that some of their staff members are new and that they do not know how to use the proper expectations. The management was not empathetic, they seem very unorganized closing whenever they feel, they do not handle customer complaints the way they should, and they don't seem to care about their guest experience or the quality of customer service they provide. If this business wants to keep guest coming back they really need to learn to be respectful of their guest, and provide better customer service. I will NOT be coming back.
