Food always good

Ordered our food. Waitress brought it out and all 4 of us were missing a side. Waitress let each of us know that the missing side was no longer available. Each of us chose another side. The side we ordered along with the bread came when we were finishing up our meal. Very disappointed since we were working out of town.

Best trout I've had anywhere. Always try to go there when I visit my cousin at Carteret House. Always take her the banana pudding, which she loves. The wait staff are always so friendly and work so hard.

I came to Cox's this morning because I heard it was really good. I was so disappointed! I ordered 2 scrambled eggs, bacon (crispy), hash browns, biscuit. When the order came my eggs were cold, hash browns cold, bacon was chewy, and the biscuit was hard. 10 mins went by and I had to wave the waitress over to let her know. She said the breakfast would be remade. The plate had just been warmed up. Same everything the way I left it. The food was hot but the eggs were rubbery and the hash browns tasted microwaved. Bacon was still chewy. My complaint is with the food and our waitress. She never checked on us. We had to asked for more coffee. She seemed fine to serve a warmed over plate. She brought the check before we were through. That is a sign she won't be coming back. There are so many good reviews that I don't even know what to think.

Here visiting from Massachusetts and was looking for a good and reasonably priced breakfast and boy did I find it! Fantastic prices, fantastic service, great portions and a very comfortable atmosphere full of smiles and friendly locals. Will definitely be back!

I was in your restaurant ordered the the seafood special not good at all the flounder was not good. The worst flounder ever, waitress only came to table one time. Asked my wife not to pay but she did we threw away 55.00 Later last night I got sick. .N edd to find out why you said it was flounder when it was not'

Great place to eat. Good comfort food, great service. Seafood plates better than the beach places & less expensive. They are now doing take out & delivery. 🤩🤩🤩🤩🤩

I've always been MORE THAN pleased with the service and food quality and amount. We travel to Morehead City four or times a month and eat here. We have on occasion discussed eating some place else BUT we feel like we'd be CHEATING if we did SOOOO we always go back to Cox's AND always glad we did.

Well it took me and my wife 2 days to get in there because it was so packed. Thought, probably good food. Boy was I wrong. Nothing I ate was any good, including the eggs and how do you go wrong with that ? If people think that is good food, then they haven't had good food. Won't go back. If you want some real food, come to Greg's BQ in Statesville, N.C. Sorry Cox's
