The catfish basket I had was fantastic, though I felt the small and large baskets should differ more than just one piece of fish, and while I prefer my hush puppies crispier, the restaurant, resembling a Gothic mansion, is well-established with consistently good food and service, especially on Thursdays for the perch dinner, where I've enjoyed multiple visits and appreciated the excellent waitress despite the outdated decor and my personal dislike for the sweet tea.

We eat there often the food is a give or take. Sometimes the chicken strips taste like the fish and sometimes it doesn't, maybe there using the same oil . The baked potatoes are sometimes to dry more so than not. But over all it's a good place to eat. If its like other places now a days it depends on who they hire to cook or how they train on the job. We haven't eaten inside in years so I can't speak on that we've only been doing carry out and in one of the other post someone mention a bad mood from one of the girls yes that has happened at times there again I guess it's who stays and goes in the carry out area or which one is working at the time. But like I said all and all it's a good place to eat.

Ordered 3 item combination plate. Fantailed shrimp,baby shrimp,flounder with fries and extra order of hush puppies. Plate came with one piece of flounder, 4 pieces of fantail shrimp, a few fries, baby shrimp and did not get extra hush puppies. $16.00 for a 6 dollar plate. This was my first and last time going here.

My family and I have been wanting to eat here for awhile. So tonight we ordered take out. Very very disappointed. Our order was wrong to begin with, which we had a very large order, so I can understand if they miss something. I got 2 large trout plates and 1 small one, and a cajun jumbo shrimp plate and a kids chicken tenders and 4 deviled crab. After plating up our food we settled down to enjoy what looked like a great meal. It was horrible!! The trout was so bland, even with the salt and pepper we ordered on all 3 plates. It was over cooked and tasted like farm raised not wild caught. And for that price, it should have been wild caught. The cajun shrimp didn't taste cajun at all and was rubbery and over cooked. And drowning in onions. The deviled crab wasn't seasoned well either, not much flavor to it at all. The slaw was nasty it looked old and gray. And had a bitter after taste. The kids tenders was so bad my r year old grandson wouldn't even eat them and that's his favorite thing to eat. We fed the dogs the tenders and all the rest we trashed it. $70 worth of food trashed. Lesson learned, we will never go here again.

I normally use take-out at Fisherman's Feast but yesterday I decided to take the time to relax and dine in. I came out more stressed than I went in. The waitress who took my order repeated it back to me several times before she got it right --- another two waitress were talking amongst themselves all the way across the restaurant about what they had fixed for dinner at their homes the night before (a mexican dish with black beans) and I was ready to leave before I could get my waitresses' attention for more tea, at which point I asked for a cup to go. The food was as I expected and I enjoyed it alot. But, I will never dine in ever again. If whomever owns the restaurant would take a more hands on approach to quality wait staff and a little upgrading around the building exterior, Shelby could have a top-notch seafood restaurant.

We love it! We get the family meal to go and we've had one time outta forty or so it was not up to par! When we have gone in to eat our experience has been good, pleasant and positive. The food has always been good!! We eat there about three times a month,ore if we have the money! As far as the ppl they have always been friendly to us. Now there is one girl that works in take out that seems to be in a bad mood often and speaks with a mean tone but I don't go there for her so I ignore her mood.

We were there Friday March 27, 2010. We waited 15 minutes for a waitress and another 90 for our food. When the food arrived, it was cold. Also, the waitress was rude.
When I complained, I was told "sorry" and had to pay the check any way. We didn't eat any of the food since it was cold. No one cared! We will never go there again.
