The atmosphere was welcoming and perfect for our large gathering, and the portions were impressively generous. The pulled pork had a unique sauce that I enjoyed adding my own to, and the overall experience brought back fond memories of my childhood visits.

I've been in this place four times in the past 3 weeks and they're never open and need to put a sign up besides closed permanently go on their website and change it we are not open for business closed they also need inform the people that they are not open for business

The food is always delicious. The restaurant is always clean. The wait staff is always friendly and efficient. We love to eat here and frequently do. Best bbq around!

Great BBQ,Cole Slaw and Hush Puppies! Very nice lady at the pick up line. Our only issue was we thought we were overcharged because the Online menu is outdated and prices are higher. Time to update the menu Y'all!

never been here? wanted to but closed due to virus. went by to see the lake, came back and ate at dales. looking at your menu now i can't remember when or ware i have seen a better one. we were told in shallotte to check you out and your barbecue was the best in alot of miles. giving us retired seniors free drinks with the meal so we can check out the best sweat tea anywares as well as having all-u-can-eat nights buffet and prices so low i have never seen ounion rings this cheap.fantastic menu. we just gotta try it and worth the drive from holden-beach. been here 5-years now. from frederick, MD. gettysburg PA, norfolk (ocean-veiw on the island) VA. Virginia-beach VA. memphis TN. Bradenton/ sarasota/orlando/jax-beach Fla. Supply,NC. anotherwords, we know bar-be-cue and seafood.

Has really gone downhill! I love any type of slaw and their slaw had a chemical flavor. Yuck! BBQ was blah!!! Sad to see a good place go downhill. I will not go back.

RUN! The food quality screams cheap. Frozen peas warmed, cheap cabbage barely cooked. Instant rice. Chicken and Dumplings stretched water thin and BLAND. Everything is made to profit for the owner, with bad cooks and store bought products, with little real effort to even come close to home cooked as they advertise. BBQ? VINERGARY!

picked up to go plate -- beans were dried out -- didn't see until got home and open plate -- very upset that would actually serve beans dried out and almost black -- bottom of the pan i would say on a togo plate

ON PREVIOUS OCCASIONS, THE FOOD AND SERVICE HAVE BEEN EXCELLENT. HOWEVER, LAST NIGHT (0OCTOBER 12, 2O11) THE COLE SLAW WAS BLAH-TASTING, THE HUSH PUPPIES WERE COLD, AND THE BRUNSWICK STEW WAS ACTUALLY A THIN TOMATO SOUP WITH A LITTLE MEAT IN IT. I CANNOT BELIEVE THE OWNER WAS IN TOWN - HE WOULD NOT LET SUCH GO ON IN HIS PLACE! I HOPE, IN THE FUTURE, HE PUTS SOMEONE WITH BRAINS IN CHARGE, WHEN HE LEAVES.

Has really gone down. Imagine having to pay extra for BBQ on the buffet, what they specialize in. Mashed potatoes (insant) were so waterd down they fell through the plastic fork. The Pepsi was watererd down, too. Service was good, but can't say much for the overall dining experience. Won't be going back.

The Chicken and barbecue is okay but the last time I ate there the slaw was terrible. You need good slaw for barbecue.

great barbecue - but unbelievably none on the buffet! You have to pay $1.00 extra for a waitress to bring you some because the restaurant management says too much was being wasted by customers. Also there are signs saying there is a $2.00 service charge if you leave uneaten food on your plate - how insulting! Maybe the restaurant management should not have a buffet if they are worried about waste . How about al l the waste they create by throwing away 100's of paper plates, bowls and eating utensils everyday. While I enjoy the food, I will not go there again!
