I have tried the pizza at both locations in New Bern and Havelock, and it's amazing! The calzones are my favorite, and the service was quick and fantastic when I got a pie to go. The staff is friendly, the food is delicious, and I always enjoy my experience when I order from Mario's Pizza.

There was a time in the last decade or so that I went to Mario's to order an Italian sub. Apparently the man behind the counter was having an extremely bad day. All I wanted to know was what they put on the Italian. He yelled at me and told me to look at the menu.
I looked at him and said is it just me or are you having a bad day.
Life on Havelock. So it goes.

I grew up in havelock and have been eating here most of my life (20-25) years. It would be nice if they could deliver like they used to and maybe be open a little later, but regaurdless everytime I go home to visit this is one of the first places I stop. I love their pizza, pasta, and subs!!!!!!

Rude! I understand that there are only a few Italian Pizza ships in Havelock but that doesn't mean that you skip the customer service. Also the disrespect of your customers is bad for business. They picked the right city to open a place because if this were a bigger city with more options they would be closed down. My advise... Skip this place all together!

Really good pizza - and now they take credit cards. Though not the best ever, their pizza is the best in Havelock/New Bern area.

Good pizza.. a little slim on the toppings. Not a over friendly group by any means. They could use some better people skills for sure. You at as if your doing us a favor, when in fact you need US to keep your doors open! Remember that Oh cocky one!

My whole family just LOVE this place! We order their pizza and subs all the time. We have lived in Italy for 2 1/2 years and love coming to this place and talk with them about our time there.

The most rude restaurant owner I have ever met.
After ordering a salad with wine vinegar on the side I received a salad soaked on “Italian dressing (loooots of vegetable oil)” (I’ve being in Italy, there is not such a thing, it is always extra virgin oil and vinegar and salt on the side). After complaining, the owner show up and rudely refuses to exchange it since “he would be losing money” (what’s the cost? $2?), obviously he has no clue on how to run a business, any other place would exchange a cheap salad immediately. I order another one to give him a chance to rectify but he charge also for the second salad… well obviously me and everybody in my party won’t ever visit that place…. Do the math Mario… now you are really losing money…
