While staying with friends in New Bern, I picked up a family meal for us and we absolutely loved the food. The barbecue pork and fried chicken were both delicious, and the red sauce was a perfect complement. The cashier and drive-thru team members provided exceptional service, making our experience even better.

I visited yesterday afternoon around 1pm. First thing I noticed were several dirty tables so had very few to choose to sit down at. I had ordered a kids meal and my piece of chicken was RAW! I hailed the girl bringing food out and let her know, she picked up my plate and took it to the back and proceeded to bring my plate back to me and said they will bring you another chicken leg. We sat and waited and my partner finished his sandwich and fries and I still did not receive my chicken leg. He went back up to get ice in our drinks before we left and told the manager I was still waiting for my chicken leg, she came out, looked at the chicken leg on my plate and said, "yep that's raw" and gave me a chicken leg in a to go box. Now here is the best part, I called the number on the receipt to comment while I was still INSIDE the restaurant and explained to the voicemail about the raw chicken and how I was still waiting for my chicken leg. No call back of course. I was really turned off when the girl took my plate I had eaten off to the kitchen area and proceeded to bring me back the same plate. I'm not sure that people hadn't touched my food because I was complaining about a raw piece of chicken. The workers had no sense of urgency and were just standing around talking since they weren't busy. I normally love this location but after spending my my money in there yesterday and to be overseen and then calling why I was sitting in the restaurant at the table is unbelievable. Not a happy customer

So good in every way: cleanliness, fast service, tasty food, good value for your money, friendly staff. No wonder I come here 2-3 times a week and why I often take a pint of barbeque home for barbeque sandwiches later.
