Had family members come in from Portland Oregon & Atlanta GA, requested on going to Speedys BBQ in Lexington NC. I said OK, I haven't been to the new location as of yet. Service was super fast, waitress brought out pictures of drinks and hushpuppies took our order, which was demanding. Lean sliced, course chopped w/ brown,etc. Food came out super fast & spot on for our order, BBQ, plates and trays were huge portions of meat, an just like we ordered! Any you haters need to know what to order when coming to a LEXINGTON NC style BBQ stand. An't nothing Fancy going on here, just GOOD ole solid pork BBQ! and the slaw"RED SLAW/ NO WHITE SLAW" and Lexington style dip. My family members loved it ! Owner, Mister Roy Dunn even sat down and talked to my out of town guest/took pics! GREAT BBQ & great fellowship w/ my family members i ant seen in 20 yrs.

I ORDERED A FLOUNDER SANDWICH WITH CHEESE AND A LITTLE SLAW. THE FLOUNDER WASNT COOKED ENOUGH AND WAS HARD ON EDGES IT WAS SLOPPEY FROM TOO MUCH SLAW THEN I THREW IT OUT RAW FISH IS AWFUL BARBECUE CENTER HAS THE BEST EVER FLOUNDER SANDWICH VERY GOOD

We used to stop in at Speedy's every time we came thru the area. Back in 2014 & 2015 everything was GREAT! Recently stopped by for the first time in 2016 /:-((((

Greasy hush puppies, tasteless BBQ, French fries were a collection of BAD, ie, some Greasy, some crunchy & dried out, some double cooked grease rocks, etc. WON't be back until I see nothing but great reviews for months. This time we went away hungry and had that feeling in our stomachs that we were robbed and were still hungry for some real Bar B Que!

My friend and I were down at Speedy's Bar Que on the evening of Jan. 15, 2016. We were sitting in our booth getting ready to order our meal, when the couple in a booth close to ours called the waitress to their table. We overheard the lady say that something in the BBQ was horrible. Someone from the kitchen came out to the table and talked to this couple. The lady at the table told the BBQ personnel that whatever was in this BBQ had gotten into her mouth, "YUCK". When our BBQ arrived it was really bad compared to what we have gotten at this restaurant. I asked for the lean BBQ and got some crappy foul tasting totally disgusting BBQ. This restaurant is certainly capable of doing better than this. We normally drive around 30 miles to go to this place, however, out of the last (5) visits we have gotten BBQ which is certainly not up to par. Someone needs to give these folks some info or they will surely lose a lot of loyal customers who have enjoyed dining there in the past. Get with it Speedy's you can do a lot better than this.

Speedy's is, quite simply, the best BBQ around. They specialize in what they do best- pork BBQ. The food is always delicious and the service is always "speedy" and friendly.

I must say the worst BBQ I have ever had the baked beans must have came out the can and they don't even serve ribs or chicken or brisket for that matter just sliced or chopped pork they sure lived up to the name speedy cause we got our food in 2 seconds and we got the hell out of there never coming back thanks
