The BBQ is the best around but other food items are barely mediocre and that is on!y if you dine inside. Thier takeout is the worst I've ever seen. They stuff all of your order in one small bag leaving your food smashed and hardly recognizable. My most recent experience had my food so smashed that I was literally peeling the paper wrapping from my sandwich in pieces because the compressed sandwich squeezed the juices out leaving a messy, drenched, unappealing sandwich. This is not my first experience like this. I keep going back in hopes that things change but there is no change. I think I have made my final visit to this restaurant.

I enjoy visiting Tarheel Q for their delicious BBQ and great service. The wings, fries, and hush puppies are always a hit, and the friendly staff make every visit enjoyable. It's a great spot for a tasty meal in a cozy setting.
