My husband and I are traveling for a weekend getaway in Maggie Valley... looked up restaurants around and decided to give Bogarts a try. Arrived and were told it would be a 45 minute wait so we proceeded outside. After realizing other people were being notified of when to come into the restaurant and 30+ minutes waiting outside in the cold, I sent my husband inside to check on the status and they then actually put us on the list (they had not put us on the list at arrival). I assumed since my husband explained that we had already been waiting 30 minutes that the restaurant would put us higher on the list because of the misunderstanding... after another 10 minutes or so the couple that arrived shortly after us originally were called into the restaurant to be seated... it was then that I went into the restaurant to ask how much longer we would have to wait as people that arrived after us were now being seated.. it was then that the gentleman who had originally greeted us when we first arrived asked who we had spoken to on arrival... I explained we had spoken to him... where he then said "well you didn't give me any of your information to get put on the list"... I then explained that when we arrived "I told you there were 2 and you told me 45 minutes wait where I said that was fine" ... after i I had told him is was ok for us to wait 45 mintues the employees proceeded to sit a party of 2 they had called inside, my husband proceeded to the restroom and I went outside to wait... they then decided they could seat us as soon as a table dried and I stepped to the door to call my husband inside. When I turned around I overheard the employee that had originally greeted us talking about me to another employee and it was at that point we decided this place wasn't worth our time or money.. Chic-Fil-A it is.... So much for trying Bogarts and we will not be back. We were the customers... it wasn't our place to give you information you didn't ask for or to make the situation right when it was brought to your attention...

The 1st time visiting was July 2016, the food was very good, I've tried bogart's again 3 times and the food has been very disappointing. In my recent visit, I ordered my steak medium well, after a long wait,it arrived rare. The baked potato had been in the microwave and the skin was so tough, I couldn't cut it with a steak knife.

I've tried this place in Sylva three times. I've given it every opportunity for a good review. I just can't leave one.
Heated up food. Canned green beans/vegetables, dried out steak. Omg do not order seafood! I tried the platter. Frozen scallops, shrimp and dish! So bad and the hush puppies were hard as freaking rocks.
The only thing I can say is the salads ok, the chopped steak ok. That's it. Really.
I'm never going back.

I came up from Franklin and decided to try Bogart's...oh my so glad I did....the best Philly Beef N Cheese with French Fries with a side of dill pickle I have ever had!...And they pile it on and give you more than enough! Was so good I came back the very next day around 5pm and sure enough it was packed! I sat at the bar with many others having dinner there and it was quite comfortable!...And ordered the Philly Beef N Cheese and perfecto! Hit the spot! All I can say is I will be returning up the mountain, over the river on to Bogart's and will highly recommend this casual restaurant to my family and friends....I have heard they have won many awards and I can see why! Plenty of cooks on hand along with servers who are very friendly and polite. Every one of the meals brought out of the serving window was piled high and looked delicious each and every dish...and Bogart's has every kind of meal you can desire!...And the desert...I had the biggest craving for a real chocolate piece of cake....You guessed it...they had it and it was the best multiple chocolate layered cake I have ever had!...and there were all kinds of other deserts! All I can say is nothing is going to keep me from making the trip to Bogart's....it will be with sweet anticipation! I give 5 stars easily! You have to try Bogart's you will not be disappointed.

RIDUCULOUS .Charged me for another tables meal. 55$ my meal also charged 35$ . The worst part was a manager who did not even care enough to say I'm sorry for the mistake but instead said he could not correct the problem that it would be up to my bank. My bank did not make the mistake Bogart's did. It took Bogart's 3 minutes to screw up my bank account and a week for the bank to correct Bogart's carelessness.

I am fat and mean to everyone. My restaurant is bad. Everything is frozen and almost everything comes out of the microwave.
