I truly hate to do this but I'm going to...
We used to love Sanford Applebee's. We ate there approximately once a month. Great food at a great price but i doubt I'll ever go back. Last week, my son and i went there for lunch. Ordered our normal stuff. Me: Rare steak and him: chicken & shrimp and several appetizers. He loves leftovers. For one everything came at once but which is aggravating but it happens. However the longest blackest hair fell across the table. You could tell it wasn't ours but there it was big as day. And it was laying across two plates of food. The waitress walked away and before i could get her attention, i noticed my son's shrimp were pretty raw. Honestly i used to be a waitress so if they would have tried to make it right, we would have stayed. For one as soon as i showed the waitress the hair, she brushed it off the table quickly and then tried to argue about the shrimp which made me angry. Just the way she acted about it was rude so i decided right then that if i tried to reorder, they'd probably spit on my food so i asked for the manager who was basically a "not nice person." Lol. So i told her that i wanted the check for our drinks and we were leaving. There was another table who saw everything thankfully or they'd have probably tried to make us pay even though we didn't touch our food.
Finally i realized all the staff had changed. I mean every single person i knew there was gone. They knew me there. I'm a good tipper so they treat me very good. Had this happened before, they'd have been apologizing and offered to make me more food. Then i would have stayed and paid for my meal. Besides we were frigging starving that day. We ended up going to San Felipe's and chowing down. Oh my God it was good too. Their Mexican corn is to die for, just ask for your seasoning on the side. Then you can put as much as you want. Oh dear that stuff is awesome!!!
All i can say to Applebee's is.. You need to check Sanford, NC Applebee's because they've ran me off and i doubt I'm alone. They even told me they don't cook rare steaks even though i just got a good rare steak there a few weeks prior. It breaks my heart because we loved it there. I'm not sure at this point if I'll ever go back there. And if Applebee's don't get those people out of there, you might as well lock the doors. Yuck!!
Oh.. I did do something dumb that day. Without thinking, i used my debit card to pay for the drinks. My dumb self gave it to the waitress. Her and the manager were doing something with my card. We could see them. It took several minutes to get it back. My son had a cow. Mom what did you do? I just want them to know that I've watched one too many episodes of shameless and i cancelled that card this week. So i may have dumb moments but you're not ripping me off.
