This old-fashioned diner has been a local favorite for decades, serving up delicious food with a nostalgic charm. The hand-cut fries are a must-try, unique and unmatched in the area. The Carolina-style burgers are a real treat, especially the what-a-burgers - you won't be disappointed!

This place is amazing. Hasn't ate there since I was a child until a couple of weeks ago. Food was still delicious. They even come to your car to take your order.

Absolutely love The Dixie. Food is always delicious. Their french fries are the best I've ever eaten from anywhere.

They have some of THE BEST food there is. And for those who believe the fries are frozen, I can confirm they are not. My Father's first job as a teenager was at Dixie's. They bust the potatoes using a potato buster, they peel them by hand. Then they're put in water, then they add ice. These are homemade fries- and are some of the best

OMG everything I have ever eaten from here is fantastic. My favorite is their Deluxe Seafood plate with shrimp, oysters, fish, crab, fries, coleslaw and hush puppies. My husband & I share a plate because it's so large. Great prices & great food. Drive Inn service is on point.

No,no,no! The fries are not frozen. They peel and bust them every day. You can go in most mornings and see them doing this in the back.

This place also holds many memories for me.I've eaten there since 1965.They have the best fries but my favorite is their barbecue sandwich with slaw. The car hop service is like taking a trip back in time.A much better time.Long live the Dixie Drive in.

It is GREAT food especially the breaded fries. BUT I have news for the poster that said they were homemade not frozen. They are in fact FROZEN not homemade and they buy them by the case frozen from Lumberton Cash-N-Carry.

This place holds many good memories for me. It continues to be a "one of a kind" drive-in with "curb-boys" who come to your car window to take your order and return the food on a tray that hangs from your window. (No intercom systems-all very personal). Family operated since the 1960's. So many specialties from their homemade (not frozen) breaded french fries to cooked at the location bar-b-que. Everything is delicious. Recipes and environment have remained the same over the years. It was the place to hang out and meet friends on the dirt parking lot. Lots of history for many folks who now bring their children and grandchildren to sample the food and atmosphere.
I keep waiting for it to be featured in some magazine or TV show!

Nice small town, family owned business. Cool come to car ordering. Great fresh non-frozen burgers and the greatest fries I've had. Great place to go eat.
