The setting at Cody Creek is just enchanting, and the service was super friendly. While the food was your typical home-style cooking, the ribs were outstanding, and the seafood platter was a real highlight. It's definitely worth the drive, especially with a beautiful atmosphere and a general store for gifts and ice cream!

The restaurant had a magical ambiance and the service was warm and welcoming. The food was simple and comforting, like a home-cooked meal. It's definitely one of the top spots to dine in the area!

We have eaten several times at the depot. The salt and pepper catfish is amazing, so is the jumbo fried shrimp, same for the pork chops, ribs, and my personal favorite the grilled mountain trout. The waiters are attentive and always make sure you have what you need. Be sure to select a smaller booth, the big ones are too wide to easily converse across. Enjoy!

With no details on their voicemail, but a web site that details open hours, etc. we have traveled to this place on several occasions to find they just decided not to open this week or this month or what ever the schedule they decide is with no way to know until you arrive and find a dump truck blocking the drive. Go to 13 bones in Mount Airy and save your self this trouble.

A great place to eat and the setting is outstanding. Have been there numerous times as a couple, with friends and with groups. Every time has been a real treat. Never had a bad meal and the service is always top notch as well. The owner is always friendly and treats his customers with the courtesy and respect they deserve. Couldn't ask for a better or more interesting place to eat and fellowship. We will continue to go to The Depot at Cody Creek every chance I get! Anyone who writes a negative review of this Restaurant or the owners has their head someplace besides on their shoulders....

My entire family enjoys a ride to Cody Creek for their terrific food selections and the atmosphere. On sunny summer days, we take pictures at the Gazebo, the water wheel, the covered bridge, and the little old Church. Also, we love the Country Store where you can get FREE ice cream after your meal. You can't beat FREE and in the summer it is so wonderful to eat your ice cream while rocking on their front porch.
We attend Cody Creek several times throughout the year for our special family moments.
