The atmosphere buzzed with a welcoming charm as I settled in, surrounded by the smell of freshly cooked seafood. Each dish arrived steaming hot, and I was pleasantly surprised by the generous portions that showcased perfectly cooked shrimp and hush puppies that could steal the show on their own. The attentive staff made me feel right at home, transforming a simple meal into a memorable experience, one that I eagerly anticipate repeating on my next visit.

Had a Senior discounted , small fried popcorn shrimp and a kids meal popcorn shrimp with 2 diet Pepsi( kid size).
The bill was $24.49 !!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
The server was great. The cashier took several attempts to ring me up. Question/ check your tab at the register. 😡

It's been several months since I been to Mayflower Seafood in Wilson. The food was great! The waitress was awesome. But when I got to the checkout counter, I had the most rudest encounter with the lady that took my payment. She argued with me about wanting to see my payment slip as I was paying with a credit card. When I reached to look at the slip to check the amount of tip, she snatched the receipt attached to it and was very nasty for no reason at all. Today is March 3, 2021 and my brother spoke with me this morning after dropping me off to an appointment. He said that he and my mother went to eat at Mayflower in Wilson yesterday, March 2, 2021 and there was an old lady at the checkout counter and the same lady who was so rude to me was being very ugly towards the old lady. My brother told the old lady that it wasn't the first time she had done this. The old lady said, "The woman had the personality of a box turtle. SOMEONE NEEDS TO DO SOMETHING ABOUT THIS WOMAN...Also, an employee said, the woman that is so rude to everyone IS THE MANAGER! How in the world can a business keep a manager like this. The employee said the manager is always that way towards people. SAD

this restaurant is the best!!!! The food is delicious and so fresh!!! Seafood at the coast isnt this good!! It is such a relaxing atmosphere and the staff are so welcoming, they make you feel right at home from the time you walk in till the time you leave!! Their prices are amazing just like their food!!! You get so much food...they have so much more to choose from if you looking for something else other than seafood....I promise you will not be disappointed!!!!!

The food here is not good. The crab meat stuffed flounder was a heap of mushy bread of some sort. N0 signs of crab meat anywhere. With exception to the oysters, everything else on the fried platter tastes the same, tasteless. The stuffed crab is also filled with the mushy bread stuff. The pink lemonade tastes like slightly flavored water.

Don't eat there.... I had hair in my food and they would not replace my meal after I was told that they would. They only gave me a couple extra shrimp but would not replace my whole meal. DON'T EAT THERE

Mayflower has very good food however, they are advertising jumbo shrimp and asking the customer to pay for jumbo shrimp which are large if you stretch it. After speaking to the manager she replied, " These are our jumbo shrimp." As a customer who frequents there, I know this is not true. The manager did not try to accommodate by offering more or by a discount. She just didn't seem to care. I guess because someone is ripping her off she is passing this on to her customers. BEWARE OF THE SO CALLED JUMBO SHRIMP! IT'S A JOKE!

I eat at Mayflower in Wilson, NC a lot and the food is great. The waitress that I had was great but when I sat down in the chair there was some kinda drink that had been spilled and dried. Needless to say that I was wearing light colored khakis and when I got out of my seat, I had to peel myself off the chair. I asked for a discount since I messed up my pants on their property and was told no. I think this was rude, they could have offered something like paying for my pants to be cleaned. To top it off, I couldn't go home to change as I was on my lunch break and had to return to work.

I have eaten at Mayflower here in Wilson many times and have always had excellent food and service. So much good food too! The portions are huge and well worth the wallet friendly meals. This place has the best seafood, service and prices around.

To the reviewer leaving a bad review, I immediately jumped to a conclusion that you are a terrible patron if you didn't receive prompt service. The servers I have gotten are always top top-notch.

We were regular customers of Mayflower in Wilson. When we visited last Saturday evening at around 5:00 in the evening, we were pleasantly greeted by the hostess. She seated us promptly, gave us menus & said we would be waited on shortly. We sat with menus in hand for 15 minutes and saw 5 different waiters/waitresses that never ever acknowledged us. A couple came into the restaurant 15 minutes after we were seated and immediately were greeted by a waiter. The couple was asked what they wanted to drink and the waiter was completely oblivious to us. I went back to the hostess and asked if we could be re-seated to a table that had a waiter/waitress that would take care of our order. I returned to our seat and no one came over to take care of us. The waiter came back to take the couple's order sitting behind us. That is when we got up to leave. We weren't even offered drinks, let alone taking our order. We enjoy the food at Mayflower at Wilson's but if this is the type of service we will receive in the future, we will reconsider going elsewhere.
